8 Essential Security FAQs

Clear, technical insights into how our scanning matrix and threat detection pipelines function.

Our engine operates client-side inside a secure WebCrypto sandbox. It computes high-entropy cryptographic hashes (SHA-256, SHA-1, MD5) and examines binary headers, entropy distributions, and static YARA signature matches against millions of known malicious indicators.
Your privacy and intellectual property are 100% protected. All hash calculations and static signature analyses occur in your local web browser. No raw document, executable binary, or file payload is ever transmitted or stored on remote servers.
MD5 is a 128-bit hash algorithm that is legacy and prone to collision attacks, though still used for rapid legacy indexing. SHA-256 is a 256-bit cryptographic standard that provides near-zero collision probability and is the gold standard for verifying malware signatures.
The URL Inspector analyzes domain age heuristics, homograph / punycode character replacements (e.g. Cyrillic characters disguised as Latin), suspicious top-level domains (TLDs), open redirect chains, and presence on known threat blacklists.
Yes. In addition to known signature lookups, the tool incorporates heuristic behavioral scoring and file entropy calculators. High entropy is often a hallmark of encrypted ransomware payloads, packed malware, or obfuscated droppers.
It measures character space diversity (uppercase, lowercase, numbers, special glyphs) to calculate total bits of entropy and estimates resistance against dedicated GPU cracking rigs (e.g. 100 Billion hashes/sec).
